Sumario: A proposal of a method to determine the optimal allocation of Battery Banks and photovolvaic painels in a Distribution System. The methodology makes use of the photovoltaic generation profile in the summer season and is based on the load curve of low voltage residential consumers. The optimal location of the
distributed generation units and battery banks aims to minimize the daily losses of active energy, taking into account the voltage limits on the bars, the costs of installing the banks, their useful life and the best operation of these, and the cost of purchase and sale of electricity by the concessionaire. The optimization solution is obtained through a Genetic Algorithm, which receives as input the daily data of the active power of the solar generators and the load demand to seek better solutions to the problem. To validate the proposed solution, a test was performed on a 78-bar radial feeder, resulting in daily losses of voltage profiles and active power. The bets result was shown for allocation of BESS and/or GDs in five bars, since the payback is lower than the lifetime of the componetns and the losses had a better participation when compared with instalation costs.
